The Investor Relations & Corporate Strategy group supports the CFO & CEO in efforts focused on : Investor Relations, Corporate Development (M&A and strategic finance initiatives), and Corporate Strategy (Strategic Planning and evaluation of overall corporate strategy). The primary objective of the Investor Relations program is to implement shareholder engagement efforts to educate and update investors and security analysts about the company to achieve a fair relative stock price. Under the direction of the CFO & CEO, leads the Bank's efforts on strategic finance and corporate development initiatives, and facilitates the development of the corporate strategy. The Corporate Strategy function contributes to the development and execution of Western Alliance Bank's corporate strategy and annual Strategic Plan across the company. Primary objectives include evaluation of the competitive landscape and industry trends to shape the company's long-term strategy, goals, and growth opportunities alongside executive management. The summer Internship program runs June through August, with flexible dates available, based on school schedules. We're looking for individuals who are passionate and entrepreneurial, just like our clients. Specifically, we're looking for top-performers interested in pursuing careers in Commercial Banking.

What you'll need :

• Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a related field of study.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
• An interest in working in the Commercial Business Banking industry.
• To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program.
