Advanced Practice Provider Cardiovascular Surgery PRN in Peoria

Overview

OSF Healthcare St. Francis is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider to join our growing cardiac surgery program in Peoria, IL .  This program performs a vast variety of cardiac surgery cases including CABG, v alves, a neurysms, m echanical circulatory support, LVADs and h eart transplantation with just under 300 cases per year.  The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as first assist and be proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting.   However, we would be willing to accept an eager new graduate who is motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Position details

• Full time day shift 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm
• 3-4 advanced practice providers will share call (overnight weekdays and weekends)
• Call 1 : 5
• Call responsibilities include coverage for OR, inpatient rounds, and consults as well as calls from the after-hours call center.
• Work directly with 3 surgeons and other advanced practitioners
• Operating room duties include first assisting, endoscopic vein harvest, and endoscopic radial harvest.  Procedures also include insertion of invasive lines and chest tube placement.
• Will work on the floor, do consults, work in clinic and OR with some ICU coverage
• 1 day of clinic a week
