SUMMARY
Housing for Health (HFH) is a program office within Health Services Administration, a division under the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS).
This position will be providing analytical support to HFH clinical teams as they work to house and improve the health of our clients who are experiencing homelessness.
HFH clinical services are provided across DHS street medicine, interim housing, permanent housing, enriched residential care, and more.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Data Collection and Analysis Explores and utilizes diverse data sources for comprehensive reporting, ensuring a holistic representation of program outcomesCollaborates with HFH clinical providers to identify, track, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Conducts statistical analyses of health data for HFH clinical teams, highlighting program value and guiding impactful process changes
- Strategic Reporting Develops tailored reports for internal and external stakeholders, presenting key insights and metricsGenerates ad-hoc reports providing snapshot views of program status and supports Quality Improvement (QI) projectsActs as a thought-partner for the clinical teams, finding creative and effective ways to reflect the value of HFH programs
- Tool Development and Maintenance Helps refine program management practices through the creation of new reporting and analytical toolsFacilitates the design, build, and maintenance of analytical support tools to be used by HFH clinical staff members and by other external stakeholders
- Project Management : Provides training and technical assistance on data management and tracking to ensure accurate data collectionConvenes and facilitates discussions with stakeholders to design and implement tools and reports
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate has experience working with a client-centric relational database. They are comfortable with using various tools to analyze large datasets and have taken the lead on projects where the best path forward is unclear.
Education / Experience
A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Social Work, Community Development, Criminal Justice or a related field - OR - One (1) year analyzing and making recommendations that address organizational management issues such as planning, program development, project management, budget development, and program evaluation of health and human services for high-risk populations (e.
g. homeless, justice-involved, mentally ill, substance use disorder or medically complex).
Certificates / Licenses / Clearances
- Successful clearing through the Live Scan process with the County of Los Angeles.
