Security Officer

Overview
The Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This position involves monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. Duties

• Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular inspections of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site.
• Document incidents, prepare reports, and maintain detailed records of daily activities.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security breaches.
• Engage in conflict management to resolve disputes effectively while maintaining professionalism.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems to enhance security measures.

Skills

• Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is preferred; ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
• Background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
• Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security technology.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential risks.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
