Summary :
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for accurately receipting and recording all monies received on vehicle deals and dealer trades, organizing deal paperwork, and supporting month-end accounting processes. This role is critical to maintaining clean schedules, accurate customer and deal records, and timely financial reporting for the dealership.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Receipt and post all monies received for new and used vehicle deals, dealer trades, and related transactions.Organize and review deal jackets for completeness, including required signatures, accurate VINs, funding documents, and supporting paperwork.Process dealer trades in and out, ensuring all inventory, titles, and billing are correctly recorded.Apply cash receipts to the correct customer, deal, or account, and assist with resolving payment discrepancies.Perform office filing and scanning of deal paperwork, invoices, and other accounting documents to maintain accurate, auditable records.Assist with reconciling related schedules and preparing end-of-month accounting reports as directed by the Controller or Office Manager.Follow all company policies and safety procedures, and complete any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.Qualifications
Previous automotive dealership accounting experience required (AR, AP, billing, office clerk, or office manager level).Hands-on experience with cash applications, issuing purchase orders, and reconciling statements in a dealership or similar environment.Strong attention to detail with the ability to review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.Comfortable working with dealer management systems (DMS) and basic office software (Excel, Outlook, etc.).Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset when working with internal teams and outside partners.Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug test, and MVR).Must be authorized to work in the United States.Additional Information
