The Opportunity with McKinstry
McKinstry is currently seeking a Manufacturing Program Manager in Offsite Manufacturing division located in Spokane, WA . This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end operational and contractual performance of a defined modular products value stream, as key customer liaison for customer programs in execution. Ensure customer experience and align the right expectation with customer on capacity / delivery schedule / terms and conditions.
The primary focus for this role is team and daily operations management and leadership of a given product value stream. This role is accountable for the profitability and operational performance of the assigned product or products within a value stream. This role is the responsible party for coordinating throughout the value stream, integrates with manufacturing operations, supply chain, engineering and commercial alignment and is directly responsible for delivering contracts on time, to full quality expectations, and at expected margins. The ideal candidate will be a strong operational leader with a proven ability to drive results and a passion for lean manufacturing. Additional responsibilities may include :
Daily Operations and manage production priorities.
Cross-functional team development and coordination / alignment.
Track and manage value stream KPIs ensuring balanced schedule, manpower, efficiency, quality, throughput. Ensure adherence to customer requirements.
Communicates risk to leadership with suggested action plan to mitigate identified risk.
Identify opportunities of process improvements and work with operations team to find solutions.
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent job experience. Especially job experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
5-8 years of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A strong team player with demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to lead external client facing meetings, facilitating effective discussions with follow up action items.
Knowledge of applicable codes required.
Ability to successfully lead a diverse team, as well as organize and manage multiple projects of varying complexity.
Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications required.
Ability to utilize available resources effectively to solve problems as they occur.
Advanced in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio and Required.
Knowledge of manufacturing financial programs and software required.
Basic estimating skills required (ability to estimate change orders, impacts to scopes of work).
Working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work with and manage outside vendors.
A highly motivated self-starter that works well without supervision.
OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 Certification Preferred.

The pay range for this position is $84,240 – $130,680 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
