Schedule : Monday-Friday 8a-4 : 30p

Sign-On Bonus : Up to $7,500

SUMMARY :

Join our dynamic team as a Registered Dietitian in our dedicated Renal Dialysis Unit, where you will play a crucial role in improving the nutritional health of our patients. Our 48-station outpatient facility is committed to delivering high-quality care to full-care hemodialysis patients, supported by a team of clinical, social work, and nutrition experts.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary Nephrology team to optimize patients' nutritional status through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nutritional care.
• Engage with healthcare staff to ensure cohesive coordination of nutritional care within the broader scope of patient management.
• Provide individualized dietary counseling to patients and families, tailoring advice to meet diverse economic, educational, and lifestyle needs.
• Analyze and review monthly clinical and laboratory data for chronic patients, documenting dietary counseling in their medical records promptly.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences within thirty days of patient admission and every six months thereafter.
• Monitor Urea Reduction Ratio information and perform kinetic modeling to assess treatment adequacy, documenting findings in patient records.
• Be available for consultations regarding nursing home or acute renal failure admissions as needed.
• Contribute to the training and orientation of new staff and facilitate ongoing educational in-services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION : BS (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :

RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

M - Medium Work - Must be able to lift 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
