Manager Corporate Accounting

Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic accounting manager to join our Corporate Accounting team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Financial Services team, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role

The primary responsibility of this position is the oversight of the commercial services accounting team, and their assigned processes within the Hyatt monthly and quarterly close. This includes oversight over the journal entry, account reconciliation, analytics, and managing the Corporate close for commercial services accounting. Additional responsibilities include the evaluation and development of the senior accountants on the team so that they may grow as professionals and elevate to higher levels of responsibility. Additionally, the manager will be expected to identify projects to improve the accounting processes for which the team is responsible and manage the team to ensure the projects are successfully executed. Finally, the manager is expected to serve as a customer service point of contact for the various business units / groups that are supported by his / her teams, and to proactively engage these groups in strategic discussions as to how to best improve accounting’s level of service.

• Overseeing Hyatt’s fund accounting process, including the billings and impact on reimbursed income / expenses, as well as other areas.
• Responsible for reviewing and / or preparing monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, billings, or analytics.
• Field and resolve inquiries from management and external auditors.
• Contribute to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, including documentation of process areas and testing of key controls.
• Reviewing quarterly schedules for external reporting.
• Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects, as required.
• Managing a team of 2 senior accountants.
• This role has a significant amount of interaction with finance teams, business units, and external auditors throughout the course of the month / year.
• Serving the needs of various business units and departments within Hyatt.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $98,600.00 to $128,000.00. This position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus. The final salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
