A confidential, high-volume manufacturing facility in the Sarasota / North Port, FL area is urgently seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join their night shift operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for overseeing and performing advanced maintenance tasks to ensure continuous operation of complex manufacturing equipment .

Your role will include :

Supervising and mentoring maintenance staff on shift, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.

Performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Conducting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.

Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Assisting with equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements .

Monitoring shift performance, prioritizing tasks, and reporting key metrics to management.

Collaborating with production teams to ensure machines are running efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should bring :

Experience : 7–15 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment , including advanced troubleshooting of automated equipment.

Leadership : Proven ability to lead or mentor a team of technicians, assign tasks, and ensure completion under tight deadlines.

Strong skills in electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting are highly preferred.

Ability to work night shifts on a 6 PM – 6 AM rotating schedule.

Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and a team-first attitude .

Stable work history —no job hoppers. Consistent, long-term employment in previous roles is required.

High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or trade school training preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay : $37.00 – $45.00 (based on experience and skills).

Overtime Pay : Available to maximize earning potential.

Relocation Assistance :

Up to $2,000 for candidates already living in Florida.

Up to $3,000+ for candidates relocating from out of state (amount based on distance and experience).
