Service Manager – Commercial / Residential or Industrial Electrical
Location : Fort Lauderdale, FL (serving South Florida)
Pay Range : $55,000 – $95,000 per year (depending on experience)
Employment Type : Full-Time | Dayshift (with occasional after-hours / onsite support as needed)
Servicing state-certified commercial, residential and industrial electrical contractors based in South Florida, proudly serving the region for over many years. We specialize in large-scale lighting, industrial warehouse and factory applications, pole lighting, LED system upgrades, bucket-truck service and emergency response.
As our Service Manager, you’ll lead our service operations and maintain our reputation for top-tier quality, responsiveness and client satisfaction.
Position Overview
As the Service Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the service division managing field technicians, scheduling work orders, coordinating with clients and vendors, and driving operational excellence. You’ll serve as the key drive for customer satisfaction, profitability, and service growth. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and manage the service team (technicians, dispatchers, subcontractors) to meet performance, safety and quality metrics.
- Oversee scheduling and dispatch management for service calls, emergency responses, preventive maintenance programs and contract work.
- Develop service strategies to streamline operations, increase first-time fix rate, reduce callback volume and improve customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with sales, project management, warehouse / logistics, and clients to ensure smooth execution of service work and contract commitments.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), report on service division profitability, labor utilization, SLA compliance and performance trends.
- Lead safety and compliance initiatives—ensure all service activity adheres to OSHA standards, company safety protocols, electrical codes and regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory, tools, vendor relationships and subcontractor performance for service operations.
- Ensure high-quality documentation of work orders, invoices, technician logs and customer records.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts—identify process gaps, implement training programs, analyze service workflows and implement solutions for efficiency and growth.
- Represent ProForce onsite during service calls or contract meetings when required; serve as point-of-contact for large or complex customer accounts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in commercial / residential or industrial electrical service operations or similar field (including team supervision).Strong leadership and people-management skills; experience managing field technicians and service operations.Solid technical background in electrical service— commercial / industrial systems, lighting, maintenance, troubleshooting, vendor coordination.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors and internal teams.Proven track-record of meeting service levels, driving efficiency, managing budgets and delivering customer satisfaction.Comfort with data / metrics—able to use reporting tools, Excel / Office, service dispatch software and track KPIs.Clean driving record; ability to travel locally within South Florida to job sites as needed.Ability to respond to after-hours or emergency service calls when required.Must be organized, self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working in a dynamic service environment.Compensation & Benefits
