Finance Manager
The Regulation, Evaluation, and Governance Lab (RegLab) at Stanford University is hiring a full-time Finance Manager to join our team!
About Us : Stanford RegLab is an impact lab that partners with government and nonprofits to use data science and AI to modernize the public sector. We are an interdisciplinary team of lawyers, data scientists, social scientists, and engineers who are passionate about building high impact demonstration projects for the future of governance. Some of our partners have included the IRS, EPA, US DOL, California, Maryland, San Francisco, and San Diego.
RegLab has grown in the last few years with increasingly complex funding and budgeting needs. As the Finance Manager, you will report to the Executive Director and lead the budget and forecasting function at the lab, as well as related grant submission and reporting activities. You will serve as the key contact / subject matter expert in financial and development activities. This is a particularly good role for someone who is organized, highly detail-oriented, and excited by the mission of the lab.
You will :
Education & Experience : Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems; internet and computer literacy. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong communication skills, including ability to prepare materials for and clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences and client groups. Demonstrated project management skills and ability to contribute to or lead part of a multi-functional team.

The expected pay range for this position is $92,251 - $129,230 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
