Description :

This position involves providing care in a medical / surgical setting.

The typical patient population includes post-surgical orthopedic, urology, general, and bariatric patients.

Common diagnoses include sepsis, urinary tract infections, cellulitis, and hypertension.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 6 : 1.

Charting will be done using Cerner.

Scrub colors will be determined by facility policy.

Areas of float support may include a Covid unit and a telemetry unit.

Special procedures are not required for this role.
