Job description

Forklift Operator

Advance Services is looking to recruit Forklift Operators to work for a local, family-owned, and operated 3PL company located in the heart of the Midwest.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Unloads inbound shipments, verifying merchandise matches shipping documents. Moves merchandise to storage properly documenting put away locations and reporting any shipment discrepancies.
  • Picks orders and prepares for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is ready for shipment. Properly load shipments.
  • Perform minor maintenance to forklifts that can be accomplished with the tools available, and ability of employee.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience driving a forklift and / or prior exposure to a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required as it pertains to inventory transactions and insuring inventory accuracy.
  • Must be able to do basic math computation of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Must be able to stoop, walk and bend and be able to lift consistently a minimum of 50 and maximum of 60 pounds.
