Project Manager – Environmental Engineering & Brownfield Redevelopment

Our client, an established environmental engineering and consulting firm with a legacy spanning nearly four decades, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead environmental site assessments, remediation projects, and Brownfield redevelopment initiatives across Michigan.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage all phases of Brownfield redevelopment projects — from assessment and remediation through design and construction.
- Advise clients and municipalities on redevelopment incentives and funding opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (EPA, CERCLA, and state Brownfield programs).
- Collaborate with developers, local governments, community groups, and consulting partners.
- Develop proposals, budgets, schedules, and project plans.
- Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure delivery within scope and budget.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of quality, safety, and collaboration.
- Support business development and client relationship growth through exceptional service and communication.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.10+ years of experience in Brownfield redevelopment and / or environmental remediation.5+ years of project management experience in environmental consulting or related work.Expertise in environmental site assessments (Phase I & II), remediation technologies, and regulatory frameworks.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and client communication skills.Proven ability to manage multidiscipline teams and complex, high-impact projects.Why This Role
