Park Maintenance Team Member
The Round Lake Area Park District is hiring a full-time Park Maintenance team member. We need a hard worker to join our team. We are looking for someone who will work diligently to help maintain our parks.
A qualified candidate will have three years in a related field and a valid driver's license. Must have an Illinois Pesticide Operator license or be willing to obtain within six months. Must be able to take direction from co-workers and be willing to take the initiative to get things done.
Work is performed at a moderate and constant pace. You may work alone or with additional staff.
Spring, summer and fall essential duties include district trash routes, monitoring weekend pavilion rentals at our parks, cleaning of park restrooms, graffiti removal as needed, turf maintenance, mowing, fertilizing, seeding and weed control. Winter duties include trash routes, snow removal, salting, natural area management, and winter upkeep of ice skating and sledding amenities.
We take great pride in our playgrounds. Your day may also include repairing and painting park and playground equipment or marking lines on sports fields.
Full-time benefits include : medical, dental and vision insurance, IMRF, retirement savings, life insurance and paid time off. Pay rate is $17 to $20 per hour.
The normal work week for this position is Wednesday through Sunday. 7 : 00 am-3 : 30 pm.
