Supervising Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) - Northeast Austin

Qualifications :
Skilled PT with at least 1-year recent Pediatric experience in home health, acute care, or out-patient settingSupervision of Assistant, student, or other team members at least 6 monthsBachelor of Science, Masters or Doctorate Degree in Physical TherapyCurrent Texas State License as a Physical TherapistCurrent Texas Driver’s License with reliable transportation and proof of auto liability insuranceCurrent CPR certificationTeam orientedExcellent organizational and time management skillsResponsibilities :
Evaluates and treats children with gross motor delays, difficulties with mobility, gait, strength, balance, coordination, range of motion, postural and tone concerns, neuromuscular disorders, as well as assessment of orthotic and equipment needsSupervises other team members, when applicable, in the performance of patient care that is consistent with patient’s needs and within scope of practice following professional licensure and Agency requirementsDocuments, prepares and completes a Plan of Care, progress notes, orders and other clinical documentation to support and justify service deliveryProvides effective communication and collaboration with patient / family, team members, leadership, and other health care professionalsAccepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patientsApplies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating / performing patient care activitiesMeets mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency / licensing boardPromotes Agency mission and administrative policiesBenefits (Full-time) :
