Executive Chef and Owner Philippe Massoud has built ilili’s reputation as a culinary go-to destination for elevated Lebanese cuisine. ilili’s restaurants are a vibrant and bustling meeting place where the refinement of neighborhoods meets the generosity of Lebanese hospitality.
As a Beverage Manager at ilili, you will play an integral part of the service and the FOH management team, dedicated to providing guests with the most impeccable, accurate, and courteous service possible. You will be responsible for planning both short and long-term projects for the beverage program while assisting in the day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute Service : Consistently provide high level of guest service while engaging with guests on positive and difficult situations accordingly. Maintain the highest level of service standards and ambiance
- Maintain Menu Edits & Up-to-Date Reprints : Planning new seasonal cocktail menus and developing recipes in accordance with the restaurant’s mission, philosophy, and cost structure
- Cost & Inventory Control : Ensure inventory, supplies, and materials are provided to service staff for proper execution. Control overall costs through supplier relationship management and by monitoring beverage purchasing, service, and labor inefficiencies. Conduct regular inventory audits of spirits, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, ingredients, and supplies as needed
- People Management : Lead bar and sommelier teams by upholding daily standards of excellence to ensure top guest interactions and efficient pace of service. Schedule and manage head bartender, bartenders, barbacks, and sommelier(s)
- Training and Development : Lead regular trainings for new staff to introduce entire beverage offerings and ethos of program. Closely monitor all training of beverage staff per company standards. Participate in pre-shifts regularly to educate the team on a variety of existing and new beverage products
- Industry Excellence : Continuous development of industry knowledge by staying tuned into current trends . Implement new ideas when appropriate. Liaise with marketing / PR / kitchen teams to generate social media content, media content, and unique public experiences
As a member of our team you should have :
At least 2 years of fine dining experience in a beverage management capacity, with an emphasis on bar and / or wine programsA passion for the hospitality industry, with a proven background in the beverage space, and an ability to communicate, remain organized, and multitask well under pressureStrong computer skills with knowledge in Beverage, Microsoft Suite, 7shifts, TripleSeat, and / or TOASTFamiliarity with managing labor, daily sales reports, scheduling, and inventory KPIsThe spirit of a self-starter, with strong interpersonal skills, dependability, and a curiosity of Lebanese cuisine, beverages, and cultureFlexible availability : weekends, nights, and holiday availability is a must!As a member of our team you can expect :
