POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE : Computer Clerk (Secondary Education)
DIVISION : Administrative Services
DEPARTMENT : Secondary Education- High School
DAYS SCHEDULED : 230 Days 8 hrs per Day
SALARY SCHEDULE : CLAS RANGE F Starting STEP 01 $18.54 hr annualized
Hourly rate is based on experience, education, and ability to speak multiple languages.
REPORTS TO : High School Associate Principal
I. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for following established procedures in connection with the operation of data entry and verification equipment.
II. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Process all forms for the computer center.
B. Maintain student schedules.
C. Update student personal data.
D. Record test data on student files.
E. Handle grade reporting, including printing, mailing, and checking all exported grades.
F. Prepare the Honor Roll.
G. Prepare statistical data for state reports.
H. Process student course requests.
I. Tally changes in student enrollments.
J. Assist in the development of the master schedule.
K. Prepare the master schedule for publication.
L. Share general office responsibilities such as receptionist and switchboard.
M. All other duties as assigned
III. TRAINING, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A. Training and experience should be the equivalent of that normally received by graduation from high school.
B. One-to-two years of data entry or other related clerical experience.
C. Good knowledge of overall district policies and practices.
D. Ability to pay close attention to detail, work accurately, and complete work in a timely manner.
E. Ability to follow written and oral instructions, learn assigned clerical tasks, and adhere to prescribed routines.
F. Must be able to use office software as well as operate copier, computer keyboard, printer, calculator, and other office machinery, and perform alphabetizing and filing tasks.
G. Must be able to type 40 words per minute with accuracy.
