Permit Coordinator
Support the deployment of fiber optic networks in rural areas through the Enhanced Alternative Connect America Model (Enhanced A-CAM or E-ACAM) program. This initiative, established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), aims to bring high-speed broadband to remote locations.
Responsibilities :
- Draw Permit Polygons DB621 and possess ROW / COLO experience.
- Interpret existing fiber cable records, staking sheets, as-builts, as-stake, PUE, easement, and ROW / COLO documents.
- Submit all documents, staking sheets, and permit packets to applicable permitting entities.
- Manage tracking systems and project management / coordination systems, storing permit-related documents and records in applicable systems.
- Attend DB621 training, provide status updates, and participate in quality control review meetings with assigned points of contact.
- Attend all project meetings, provide updates, and participate in strategic planning calls with data gathering or tracking information.
- Work with municipalities to ensure design drawings meet requirements for permit applications, and track all related processes.
Essential Skills :
1+ year of experience as a permit coordinator or similar role in telecommunication / fiber projects.Aerial permitting experience is essential.Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills to handle multiple documents, files, applications, and processes simultaneously.Proficiency in Excel to log and track information.Experience communicating effectively with end customers via email and phone.Ability to obtain necessary information from municipalities or similar entities.Proven experience working remotely with a high degree of trust and accountability.Ability to read and interpret design drawings.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Experience in telecommunications, construction, and working with municipalities.Work Environment :
This is a 100% remote position as part of a team of 6 coordinators and 2 leads dedicated to the project. The work week is limited to 40 hours, with core hours from 9 am to 3 pm CST. Flexibility is allowed outside of these hours to meet daily deadlines. All necessary hardware, including a computer, desktop, keypad, and mouse, will be provided.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
