Staff Accountant
A building material supplier in West Palm Beach is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This position has a lot of growth potential with the ability to be fast tracked to Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities
- The Corporate Staff Accountant will oversee financial functions across the company's operational departments and business divisions.
- Contribute to the examination and scrutiny of general ledger transactions and account reconciliations to ensure accurate classification, precision, and completeness.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries to guarantee punctual and precise financial reporting.
- Create and evaluate reports for business operations and budgeting.
- Complete necessary tax compliance forms for federal, state, and local government agencies as required.
- Support external auditors by providing essential account data and documents to facilitate our annual audit.
- Leverage Excel expertise to generate formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.
- Sustain transparent communication with colleagues and management.
- Meet deadlines and communicate in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ Years of Experience
