- Schedule : 6 hours per day for 232 days per year. (Occasional pre-approved overtime may be required when workload demands it.)
Basic Function
The primary function of this position is to process and maintain accurate business office records, executing the procedures necessary to assure correct and timely payments and receipts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As our Bookkeeper, you will assume responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of our core bookkeeping functions, including (but not limited to) :
Financial Records : Maintain comprehensive payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable records.Payroll Administration : Configure payroll setup for new and existing employees (job setup, direct deposit, time clock, withholding, and tax setup).Cash Management : Receive and receipt incoming money orders and checks; make bank deposits when necessary.Administrative Support : Answer the telephone, assist visitors, and manage postal and interoffice mail for the business office.System Management : Serve as an administrator for Active Resources, IT and maintenance help tickets, and the business office website.Vendor Management : Add, update, and deactivate vendors from the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system as needed.Audit Assistance : Assist in federal, state, and financial audits.Documentation & Distribution : Manage the digital contract completion workflow and assist with the distribution of EEF cards, W2s, 1095s, 1099s, and personnel contracts.Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following :
Education : Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent.Technical Skills : Proficient with computer applications; experience with Marathon and Excel is a significant plus.Professional Traits :Ability to perform duties in an accurate, consistent, and efficient manner.
