We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, on a contract basis. In this role, you will handle a variety of financial tasks to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This position offers an opportunity to work in the dynamic transportation equipment manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities :

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding and approval workflows.

Manage payments through Automated Clearing House (ACH), check runs, and other payment methods.

Review and reconcile purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Utilize Prophet 21 software to streamline and maintain accounts payable operations.

Maintain and update financial records using Microsoft Excel.

Monitor payment schedules and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and adherence to company policies.

Support audit preparation by organizing and providing necessary accounts payable documentation.

Assist in resolving vendor inquiries and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.

Requirements :

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Proficiency in processing ACH payments, check runs, and coding invoices.

Experience with purchase order reconciliation and familiarity with Prophet 21 software.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
