About the Team The Digital team focuses on delivering a superior customer experience on petsmart.com and our mobile app. The team also guides revenue and profit growth for the digital business. Digital team associates focus on delivering initiatives that help our pet parents find and discover products, bring enterprise priorities to life digitally, design new user experiences, build new features and capabilities, and manage key omni-channel programs. We work to showcase our brand digitally through the lens of expertise and love and to provide a personalized experience for our consumers. The team takes a data-driven approach and leverages quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the experience and make business decisions. About the Job The Site Merchandiser (Cross-site) is essential in translating and implementing merchandising and Digital strategy into the online & App shopping experience. The Site Merchandiser will be responsible for executing fundamental aspects that create the functionality of the e-commerce business and driving customer-centric experiences to grow their respective business. The person in this position will work closely with Buying, Marketing and Canadian Digital teams to enhance and merchandise the online assortment, elevate key events, and deliver a seamless customer journey for owned programs on web and App. The successful candidate : Manages day-to-day responsibilities of the App and Services site, inclusive of publishing content, analyzing and acting upon business trends, and site maintenance. Serves as subject matter expert to round table partners Collaborate with enterprise owners & contributors of key digital initiatives Accountable for the delivery of new capabilities, seeking to gain a clear understanding of the capabilities and processes for implementation Analyze reporting to identify performance trends, high level results against KPIs, insights, and recommendations for future activations Communicate results to the organization and use the information to drive digital merchandising tactics Works with Marketing partners to ensure clarity of messaging and end-to-end landing experience is optimized for all marketing vehicles that strengthen customers to site Supports and assists with key E-Commerce initiatives, IT projects, presentations, reports or any other assigned tasks Work closely with cross functional team to create new digital experiences which fulfill PetSmart’s “Anything for Pets” promise KEY COMPETENCIES attributed to creating service include, but are not limited to the following : Knowledge Skills and Abilities Highly organized with effective time management and project management skills Ability to initiate multiple projects Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and trends Ability to work independently with minimal direct oversight Proven ability to manage against change in an ambiguous environment Coachable and passionate for continuous self-improvement Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various technical and business issues Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft office applications, including intermediate capabilities with Excel and Word Exhibit professional and entrepreneurial initiative EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing or equivalent work experience 3+ years of Merchandising, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce or Analyst experience About the Culture At PetSmart, we work hard to create a culture where every associate feels like they truly belong and we celebrate the unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences our associates share.
