Role purpose

As a Seasonal Retail Consultant, you engage, listen, and guide customers to products relevant to their needs. You welcome customers into our spaces and, through intentional interactions, deepen how our products are experienced. By demonstrating products that address customer needs, you deliver an exceptional, inclusive customer experience that contributes to our commercial success. The successful applicant will have flexible availability and will be required to work weekends.

This is a contract position with an end date of January 17, 2026. Applicants will be considered for vacancies at Aesop Rockefeller Center. Candidates must be available between November 1 and January 17, 2026; vacation will not be accommodated during this time.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience operating within a customer service role or environment
• Effective selling skills and the ability to drive commercial outcomes
• Ability to consistently introduce Aesop products to clients through hand demonstrations
• History of successfully participating in and contributing to a team
• Demonstrated ability to utilize empathy to manage interpersonal relationships and contribute to a positive and inclusive experience for all
• Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgment and act on diverse perspectives
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of skin care and the skin care industry (advantageous)
• Knowledge of hair care, body care, fragrance and home categories (advantageous)
• A minimum of three days availability weekly, in addition to full availability on weekends
• This position operates on-site
