Summary:
All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. NJ TRANSIT will provide resources on obtaining a NJ CDL, but Qualified Applicants who possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements will be given primary consideration.

This position is deemed safety sensitive per the Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations. The DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of marijuana for any reason. It is unacceptable for any safety-sensitive employee subject to drug testing under DOT regulations to use recreational or medical marijuana. The prohibitionincludes any derivative of marijuana such as CBD oils, teas, etc. The use of recreational and medical marijuana is a violation of NJ TRANSIT’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy for safety-sensitive employees.
