Consumer Collector Are you passionate about helping people get back on track financially while maintaining a strong ethical and service-oriented approach? LHH Recruiting is assisting our client in Albuquerque, NM to hire on a contract to hire basis a Consumer Collector to join their team. As a Consumer Collector your work directly supports their mission to serve members with integrity, empathy, and excellence. Job Duties :
Monitor and manage delinquent and problem accounts, ensuring timely and compliant collection actions.
Initiate and oversee the repossession process, update accounts, and complete checklist items as needed.
Post delinquent payments and process GAP Insurance Claims accurately and efficiently.
Resolve negative shares, courtesy pay charge-offs, and support the fresh start program.
Maintain detailed documentation of all collection activities, including phone calls, financial arrangements, and correspondence.
Collaborate with members, attorneys, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and support member needs.
Ensure all actions align with credit union policies, legal standards, and service expectations.
Support the Account Resolution Department and assist team members as needed.
Your qualifications should include :
At least 2 years of collections experience, ideally at a bank or credit union.
Strong understanding of collections procedures, legal compliance, and member service standards.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all member interactions.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Pay Details : $21.00 to $22.00 per hour
