Job Title : Utilization Nurse

Experience :

BSN Degree

Minimum of 2 years working as an RN

Minimum of 1 year working in behavioral health

License :

• Active RN license within the state of Arizona
Certifications :
• FPCC

Must-Have :

• Experience in monitoring and technical assistance for compliance with contractual, regulatory, and statutory obligations

Description :

This position is a 100% remote role with no weekends required.

Candidates will need to go onsite to obtain equipment.

The Utilization Nurse will provide monitoring and technical assistance to ensure compliance with obligations for members' physical and behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring overutilization and underutilization, conducting reviews, and providing oversight and technical assistance.

The role involves gathering, planning, organizing, and evaluating information from various sources, including utilization data, case file reviews, and audits.

Coordination of care with external and internal stakeholders is essential.

The Utilization Nurse will make referrals as necessary and participate in clinical staffing as required.

This position serves as a resource for medically necessary covered services.
