Service Advisor

The Service Advisor is the primary liaison between the service department and customers, ensuring timely, accurate service and warranty claim processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their service needs.
• Listen to customer concerns and provide accurate information regarding repair and maintenance services.
• Create and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
• Schedule service appointments and prepare repair orders.
• Coordinate with Shop Foreman to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Keep customers informed about the status of their repairs and additional required work.
• Obtain customer approvals for additional services and explain scope and cost.
• Accurately process warranty claims per manufacturer guidelines and dealership policies.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is complete and submitted to the manufacturer.
• Follow up on outstanding warranty claims and resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed and organized service records.
• Prepare and present accurate estimates and invoices to customers.
• Assist in managing service department inventory and ordering parts as needed.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism.
• Strive to exceed customer expectations in all service interactions.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage feedback.
