The RN provides care for pediatric hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant patients in a high-acuity setting. Diagnoses include leukemia, brain and bone tumors, sarcoma, lymphoma, and immune disorders. The role involves chemotherapy administration, bone marrow transplant infusions , and moderate sedation for procedures such as bone marrow aspiration and lumbar puncture.
