Job Title : Traveling FTTH Technician

Location : Various locations, nationwide travel required. Will spend 6 - 12 per location.

Type : Full Time, W2, Fiber Technician.

Salary / Comp : $80,000 - $100,000 annually. $1550 - $2,000 / week. Health insurance, paid time-off, and 401k.

MUST HAVE EXISTING US WORK AUTHORIZATION

Requirements :

  • A US Driver's License
  • Be currently located in the US with existing work authorization. VISA Sponsorship not an option.
  • Prior experience with a telecommunications company or subcontractor working with FTTH.
  • A resume that features your FTTH experience.
  • A truck, van, or large SUV that is capable of having a ladder rack put on it.

Job Description :

As a Traveling FTTH Technician you will be a crucial member of our installation team, responsible for the efficient deployment of Fiber-to-the-Home networks in various locations.

This role involves extensive travel and hands-on work in the field, ensuring the successful installation of fiber optic cables while maintaining a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities :

Fiber Optic Cable Installation : Carry out the installation of fiber optic cables in residential and business premises, adhering to company standards and client requirements.

Splicing and Termination : Perform splicing and termination of fiber optic cables to ensure proper connectivity and signal transmission.

Equipment Installation : Install and configure FTTH equipment, including optical network terminals (ONTs), routers, and associated hardware.

Customer Interaction : Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing information and assistance as needed.

Quality Assurance : Conduct tests and quality checks to ensure that installed systems are operational and meet performance standards.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of installations, equipment used, and work completed. Provide regular reports to the project manager.

Safety and Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and team members.

Comply with all industry and company regulations.

Travel : Travel to various locations as assigned, working on installations in different regions.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in fiber optics is a plus.
  • Previous experience in fiber optic cable installation and FTTH deployment.
  • Knowledge of splicing and termination techniques.
  • Familiarity with FTTH equipment and hardware.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively and work on varied schedules.
