Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our San Francisco office. In this role, you will support the Department Head by performing engineering and design activities, including system analysis, equipment selection, and project management. You'll contribute to high-performance design solutions and help guide junior team members while managing small to medium-sized projects.

This position requires creativity, organization, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design solutions for new and existing buildings with a focus on sustainability and performance.
• Perform voltage drop, short-circuit, breaker coordination, and Arc Flash studies.
• Size overcurrent protection and feeders for electrical equipment.
• Specify equipment using manufacturer catalogs (UPSs, Panels, Switchboards, Transformers, etc.).
• Support technical direction and mentorship within the electrical team.
• Lead small to medium-sized projects, managing delivery and budgets.
• Conduct field audits, feasibility studies, and basis of design reports.
• Implement best practices and produce drawings aligned with client standards.
• Assist in preparing project budgets and schedules.
• Apply quality assurance procedures during design.
• Review submittals and respond to RFIs.
• Collaborate across disciplines and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure compliance with Building / Energy Codes and LEED standards.
• Attend and actively participate in design and construction meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA . The expected salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 annually , depending on experience, education, and other relevant factors. As a multi-state employer, this range may vary for positions in other locations.
