As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all occupants. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This role is ideal for individuals who value teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach, and who are eager to make a positive impact through their daily interactions and patrols.

Pay Rate : $16.83 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor the premises for any unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist shelter staff and visitors as needed, providing information and support while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and / or maintenance issues as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and shelter personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
