Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create customized treatment plans that align with both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to build comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to ensure progress beyond clinical visits.
• Support in conducting inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, upholding a continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation consistent with state, federal, and agency standards.
• Engage in continuing education and peer discussions to keep skills sharp and knowledge current.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still pursuing ASHA certification.

Required Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
