Job Summary
The Employee Benefits Marketing Specialist (EBMS) is an analytical and administrative position responsible for end-to-end project management of Group Health benefit renewals for a designated block of clients. Key duties include gathering and managing necessary information, conducting eligibility audits, risk assessments, and carrier quotes, analyzing results to create clear presentations, and coordinating enrollment support and medical quoting for prospective clients. The EBMS ensures smooth renewal processes and transition to the client service department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the annual Group Health benefits renewal process for assigned clients
- Request and manage RFPs and quotes with insurance carriers
- Create and manage spreadsheets to display quote information clearly
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop recommendation plans for clients
- Prepare proposals for presentation to clients
- Assist with the underwriting process and medical quoting, enrollment, and paperwork
- Develop "Benefits User Guides" (BUG) brochures summarizing renewal decisions
- Maintain organized filing systems and prepare carrier documentation and enrollment materials
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Work Experience Requirements
1–3 years of experience in employee benefits, with a strong knowledge of benefit plans, ancillary coverages, and current legislationHighly organized with strong technical and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team settingClient-service mentality with active listening and effective communication skillsComfortable using standard business technology (email, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software)Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat StandardValid Life / Health Insurance Producer License preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhat HUB Offers You
