Job Description
This role is field-based, and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. This geography covers Orlando, Winter Springs, Sanford, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Lakeside. Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, manage sales performance, effectively manage assigned territory and target accounts, build strong customer relationships and customer needs solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of any effort and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, and other goals to meet or exceed targets.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve set call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers for maximum access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments / dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise, and share this intelligence with in‑field teams, brand teams, and sales managers to align, anticipate changes, and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers, identify, develop, and maintain disease‑state experts and speakers / advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred or relevant experience required.Equivalent industry experience (at least five years with three or more years in the pharmaceutical / health / science industry) is required; high school diploma / GED required.Demonstrates in‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource; strong business acumen, strategic and critical thinking, matrix environment capabilities, and innovative ideas to maximize opportunities.Proven track record of success in selling with solid presentation skills; identifies customer style / behavior and adapts quickly; provides impact with ideas for the larger organization and anticipates changes.Influences others and is a credible role model and resource among peers; builds collaborative partnership with district colleagues and matrix team; leads by example and coaches peers.Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility at the district, region, and / or organizational levels; leverages findings to develop sales strategies.Preferred : Proven track record of success in sales performance within therapeutic areas; commercial pharmaceutical industry experiences such as physician / account‑based selling, training, managed health care or marketing preferred; English proficiency verbally and in writing.Must satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing; responsible for background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and licenses required by state or cities.Valid driver’s license; ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.Will drive a personal auto or company vehicle or specialized equipment.Benefits
