Job Details

Registered Nurse position at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center

Minimum 2 years of experience required in the last 5 years

Must be able to take heparin drips, PCA, colostomy care, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, central line care / management, peripheral line care / management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV starts, management of dysrhythmias, O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions / PPE, traumatic brain injury, ortho trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, tracheostomy management, wound care, and Epic documentation experience required.

Job Requirements

Active RN license required

BLS certification required

ACLS preferred

Interpretation of dysrhythmias preferred

Pre / Post Hemodialysis Management preferred

Management of drips preferred

CVA preferred

Pre / Post Neuro Surgery preferred

Spinal cord injuries preferred

Schedule Information

12HR DAYS shift

36 or 48 hours accepted

If 48 hours, no OT billed until after 48 hours

Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend

RTO : 7 days MAX

Float Requirement : Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding

Unit Specific Information

Target Ratios : 1 : 6-7

Unit orientation : 12 hour unit orientation, 16 hour organizational education.
