Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Fruita, CO, this K-12 school is seeking a licensed School Psychologist for a contract position covering the next school year. The role focuses on supporting students across elementary through high school grades (K-12) by providing a broad range of psychological services to enhance student learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Participate in Eligibility Determination and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings pliant with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and federal IDEA regulations.
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to implement evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions.
- Provide short-term individual or group counseling and crisis support for students.
- Serve on Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) teams.
- Assist with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and contribute to Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Support social-emotional learning (SEL), trauma-informed practices, and school safety initiatives.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential records and reports.
- Adhere to ethical standards established by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
Required Qualifications :
Masters or Specialist-level degree (Ed.S., Psy.S., or equivalent) in School Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.Current or eligible Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services License endorsed in School Psychology.Solid knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and related laws.Strong assessment, consultation, collaboration, and culturally responsive skills.Preferred Qualifications :
