Our offices offer a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office; and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Underwriter, you will seek profitable growth of the company's portfolio of specialty accident business by analyzing and selecting risks based on qualified underwriting criteria that adhere to the company's established underwriting guidelines. The Underwriter will work closely with more seasoned underwriting staff to develop more advanced underwriting acumen over time. You'll also gain a more thorough understanding of the Company's compliance, actuarial, claims and distribution departments, all of which will advance your experience and judgement level as an Underwriter.

This role will report to the AVP, Underwriting - Specialty Acccident. We'll trust you to manage your workload with a sense of urgency around quote deadlines and production targets. This role will require proactive collaboration with underwriting management to review more complex cases requiring a higher degree of underwriting authority.

Base Salary Range : $100,000 - $120,000

Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
