Must-Have :

Basic Med / Tele skillset :

Cardiac rhythm interpretation

Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem / Amiodarone)

Wound care

Drain / tube management

PIV starts

Central line management

Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse with expertise in Medical / Surgical and Telemetry settings.

The facility has 241 licensed beds and is designated as a level 3 trauma center.

It is also a certified chest pain center and stroke center.

The unit comprises 32 beds, with an average patient census of 32.

Patient types include stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu, pneumonia, COVID), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds.

The nurse-patient ratio is 1 : 5.

Support within the department includes CNAs for activities of daily living, mobility, and feeding.

Phlebotomy services and an IV / VAT team are available 24 / 7.

A hospitalist and intensivist are also present around the clock.

Telemetry monitoring and technology such as EMR, IV pumps, and monitors are utilized.

Virtual nursing support is available for special monitoring and other patient care needs.

The nurse may be required to float to different facilities within the region and scope of practice.

Travelers may be paid for travel time if floating mid-shift.

Work schedule includes every other weekend and holiday expectations, with 75% of holidays worked.

Time off requests are approved up to six days, excluding holidays, with adjustments made to contract duration if necessary.
