CLASSIFICATION : Teaching Assistant Position
REPORTS TO : The Administrative Assistant for the Department of Humanities POSITION SUMMARY :
The DHUM teaching assistant would be responsible for assisting the Chair, a specific professor, and / or the Administrative Assistant with administrative tasks as well as acting as a liaison for the college.
The student must be willing to assist the department with meetings and special events in addition to providing TA support.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, understanding of MyFire, and the ability to work well with various departments and individuals
Sophomore or Junior preferred but not required

Check department mail
Print large jobs, scan, and copy
Provide support for special projects
General receptionist's duties
Assist with setup / tear down for events
Run errands
Provide other means of clerical and TA support
Qualifications and abilities :

Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Ability to work collaboratively
