Job descriptionAble to work with single discs, boost machines, wet / dry vacuums, ride-on floor machines, squeegees, mops and buckets, razor floor scrapers, doodle bugs, buffing machines and numerous stripping / waxing chemicals. Must be experienced in the process of using a variety of machines to safely remove (strip) old wax, neutralizing the floor and the application of new wax by different application methods and deliver high quality results. Must have the ability to adapt to and deal with adverse flooring conditions. Able to complete jobs in a timely manner as directed by the crew leader, supervisor or project manager. Able and willing to clean, maintain and be accounted for all equipment used. Responds promptly to customer needs; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments. Oral Communication - must speak, read and understand English. Listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions. Diversity - shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; promotes a harassment-free environment. Safety and Security - observes safety and security procedures; uses equipment and materials properly. Attendance / Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Perform floor work carefully, protecting surfaces, walls, and furniture from damage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, cafeterias, bathrooms, hallways and stairwells. Carpet & upholstery cleaning
- Strip and wax tile floor, concrete, terrazzo and LVT flooring.
- Other duties may be assigned.
