American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel nursing job in Lubbock, Texas.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric RN for a night shift position requiring recent pediatric and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in a pediatric unit within a children's hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
  • Typical patient ratio is 1 : 4
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 to 07 : 00)
  • Occasional weekend shifts required
  • Block scheduling available
  • Floating between units and all in-state facilities is expected
  • Epic EMR system is used and experience with Epic is required
  • First time travelers are accepted
  • Navy scrubs required for RNs
  • Free parking is provided
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
  • Travelers must be willing to float as assignment requires
  • Minimal to no RTO is preferred; all RTO must be requested during initial consideration
  • Holiday and trauma-level coverage may be required as needed

    • Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric RN experience required
  • Experience in a similar pediatric setting required
  • Ability to provide 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Must have experience with Epic EMR
  • Required certifications must be current and submitted for consideration
