We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the financial operations of our organization in Lewisville, Texas. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that offers an opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach to managing financial processes.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and generating accurate financial reports.
- Coordinate and oversee financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise account reconciliation processes, addressing discrepancies and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of accounting professionals, fostering efficiency and productivity within the department.
- Assess and improve accounting workflows, recommending and implementing process enhancements to strengthen internal controls.
- Tackle operational and accounting challenges in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless financial reporting and operational alignment.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Utilize automation tools and software to optimize accounting processes and reporting capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software, general ledger systems, and advanced spreadsheet tools; experience with automation tools is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor accounting teams, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting financial performance and engaging with cross-functional teams.
- Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
