Research Assistant for Food & Social Justice Action Research Lab
Responsibilities :
- Supporting research activities related to urban agriculture and farm labor through a social justice lens
- Coordinating time-sensitive research participant and collaborator honoraria and follow-up as needed
- Expense reports in MyDay / Workday
- Domestic and international travel arrangements
Work Mode : Hybrid
Hourly Rate : $22.08
Minimum Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications :
- Master’s student or advanced undergraduate standing
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent time management and follow through in liaising between university / research activities and community-based research participants / guest speakers
- Experience with online expense management software (MyDay), spreadsheet programs (such as Excel; Google Sheets) OR a willingness to learn how to use these platforms within the first week of the assistantship.
- Excellent communication skills, including professional and respectful email communications with community-based research participants / guest speakers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within mutually agreed timeframes
