We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing project-based accounting tasks, ensuring billing accuracy, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. This opportunity is ideal for someone with expertise in construction or project accounting who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and process comprehensive project billing, including completing required forms such as AIA G702, G703, certified payroll documents, and lien waivers.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to manage accounts receivable, track payments, and ensure accurate coding of financial transactions.
• Submit and process expense reports in Concur for company leadership while reviewing and approving field team submissions.
• Guide field staff on proper expense coding within the general ledger and explain how accurate documentation supports accounting processes.
• Oversee state and county tax filings, maintaining compliance with all relevant sales tax and nexus requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to address billing, expense, and compliance inquiries efficiently.
• Provide support to field staff to ensure understanding and accuracy in completing required documentation and procedures.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of financial transactions and project-related paperwork.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in billing or expenses promptly while ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
