Job descriptionMust hold high school diploma / GED Assist teachers with lesson planning, classroom activities, and small-group or individual learning exercises. Monitor and support students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during field trips to ensure safety and positive behavior. Help younger students with self-care needs while noting any special requirements. Support classroom management, reinforce learning goals, and help implement strategies to improve student behavior and performance under teacher supervision. Prepare, distribute, and organize instructional materials; operate classroom equipment; and assist substitute teachers when needed. Participate in ongoing professional development and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the teacher or school administration. Any other assigned duties
Job Description
Adelphi is seeking a Teacher Assistant to provide services to students at a school district in Providence, Rhode Island.
The ideal candidate will work closely with school teams to provide instructional, behavioral and personal support in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.
