Teacher Assistant - Early Childhood - Infant / Toddler / P-K

The center is open from 7 :

• 30 a.m. - 5 : 30 p.m.  The Teacher Assistant will assist the Preschool Teacher and Preschool Director in the day to day functioning of the Preschool program and ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times.  The Teacher Assistant will remain alert to the needs and / or problems of the children as individuals and as a group.   Duties and Responsibilities : Supervision and safety of the children Cleanliness and decorating of classrooms Attend regular staff meetings Foster a warm, relaxed and non threatening atmosphere in the classroom Maintaining equipment and preschool property Interacting with children at lunch and snack time Sit with children and model good manners and nutrition habits Use positive approach to help children behave constructively through redirection, planning ahead, encouragement of appropriate behavior and pro-social skills Follow through with any assignments as instructed by the Teacher or Directors.   Education and Experience : Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, or have a high school diploma or equivalent and must work at all times under the supervision of a Teacher.  Previous childcare experience preferred.   This is a benefits eligible position.  We offer a comprehensive benefits package including :
