Hometown Health Center (HHC) is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Referral Specialist to coordinate specialty referrals and ensure continuity of care for our patients. This role is essential in supporting our clinical teams and maintaining strong relationships with external providers, hospitals, and insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and coordinate all medical referrals through the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Communicate directly with patients to provide information and build rapport.
- Accurately enter and retrieve data for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Respond to inquiries and requests with professionalism and follow-through.
- Process insurance referrals and maintain detailed records of authorizations.
- Liaise with insurance companies to ensure timely completion of referrals and prior authorizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and support patient care.
- Act as a point of contact for contracted referral support services.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office, with referral coordination preferred.Knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance processes.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to collect, enter, and report data accurately.Familiarity with medical terminology and basic understanding of medical tests.Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.Must comply with HHC’s employee immunization policy.Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Completion of a medical terminology course preferred.Benefits :
