Overview
Our client is hiring a Vice President of Capital Markets to strengthen its corporate and project level financing capabilities during a period of accelerated growth. This leader will guide capital strategy, partner on portfolio scaling, and take ownership of the company’s internal financial models at both the corporate and project levels. The role blends structured finance expertise with commercial judgement and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast moving environment with meaningful responsibility from day one. The client is a renewable energy developer (relevant experience is essential).
What Success Looks Like
The VP must be a self‑starter who can figure things out independently, speak with credibility to lenders and investors, and contribute as a trusted partner to the CCO and broader leadership team. Strong financial modelling skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Markets Leadership
Support corporate capital raising activities including debt, tax equity, warehouse facilities, and strategic partnerships
Lead preparation of financing materials, investor analysis, and transaction workstreams
Take full ownership of the corporate model
Refine, enhance, and internalize the model so it becomes an institutional asset within the business
Drive scenario analysis, valuation, sensitivity work, and financing case development for internal and external audiences
Project Finance Modeling
Build and own project and portfolio level models for renewable energy assets (predominantly C&I)
Reduce bottlenecks by absorbing modeling responsibilities
Interface with lenders, investors, and partners on project underwriting and diligence
Thought Partnership
Work closely with the CCO on filtering tools, customer economics, and underwriting frameworks
Contribute to investment strategy, new product development, and quantitative decision support
Provide commercial insights on customers, counterparties, and portfolio performance
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
At least two years in investment banking
Experience at a renewable energy developer or project finance lender
Direct exposure to utility scale or C&I renewable energy development
Deep expertise in financial modelling, deal structuring, and investor‑facing communications.
Strong technical financial modelling skills across corporate and project finance

175-195K base salary + 40% bonus
