Responsible for development and implementation of policies and procedures, including annual company handbook revision. Ensure Intranet HR policies and communications are up to date.
Assists and advises company managers on Human Resources issues
Monitors a HR budget that includes Human Resources services, employee recognition and benefits administration
Manages Human Resources consultants, attorneys and coordinates company use of insurance brokers, insurance carriers, 401(k) advisors, and other outside sources
Investigation lead involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, and employee relations
Partners with VP of Compliance on Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws
Monitors the tracking of OSHA-required data and reports, including Form 300 logs and postings
Manages employee communication and feedback through such avenues as employee communication memos or paycheck attachments, employee satisfaction surveys, exit surveys and employee meetings
Leads HR compliance with all existing government reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and so forth. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.
Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance. Maintain 1094 / 1095C reporting, along with L226J letters that need to be resolved
Monitor state and city ordinances of sick time and minimum wage to ensure company compliance.
Attend HR seminars and continuing HR education. Register for HR forums and websites that will keep the company up to date on changing legislation.
Attend Manager Meetings, covering HR changes, training and upcoming law changes.
401(k) Plan Administrator Census generating, main point of contact with annual Audit, file 5500, distribute employee notices
Liability Insurance contact Claims reporting and follow-up
Ensure all locations have proper up to date compliance of postings
Coordinates company training for all employees, including but not limited to AB 1825 (Harassment) and AB 2053 (Abusive Conduct)
Manages the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
